Due Dates and Billing Information |
Interim Tax Bills are mailed in February. Due Dates: Last business day of February. Last business day of May. Final Tax Bills are mailed in August. Due Dates: Last business day of August. Last business day of November.
Local improvement charges, miscellaneous charges or special area rates are applied on the Final Tax Bill. Supplemental Tax Bills (if there is a change to a property) are mailed as soon as the information is available from MPAC. Payment Options |
Pre-authorized Payment Plan Signup link is listed at the top of this page. Telephone, Internet Banking or ATM Please use your 19-digit roll number (ex. 3429-000-000-00000-0000.) Allow 3-5 business days for processing. Municipal Office In person at the Municipal Office by cash, debit or cheque. After hours mail slot, located at the Municipal Office's Mary Street entrance. Please include your address or roll number with payment. We strongly advise against leaving cash in the drop box. In Person at Your Bank or Financial Institution A receipt will only be provided if a self-addressed, stamped envelope is included with payment. Mortgage Company Tax bills should be forwarded to the appropriate mortgage company. Payment by Cheque Payable to The Municipality of Dutton Dunwich. A $50.00 fee applies to any returned cheque.
Late Payments Late payment charges are 1.25% per month and begin accruing on the first day of default and every 30 days thereafter. Failure to receive a property tax bill does not excuse one from paying taxes or late penalties. |
Moving? |
There is no need to contact us, unless you require a tax bill. The tax account (roll number) stays with the property. Please contact your lawyer for any tax adjustments between owners. Moving to a new-construction home? Remember to budget for a Supplementary Tax Bill. |

Late Payments - Water and Wastewater Payments received after the due date are considered late and penalties (as specified by the User Fee Bylaw below) will be applied. It is the responsibility of the customer to monitor monthly payment plans to ensure their account is not carrying a large balance or credit.

Please advise the billing department of changes in: name, address, billing address, telephone number or email address (for paperless billing.) 48 hours notice is required when requesting your final meter reading. |
