Code of ConductOur Code of Conduct applies to members of Council and local boards. If you think someone has broken the Code of Conduct you may submit a formal complaint. Send an email to the Clerk or drop it off in person at the Municipal Office. Council members must submit a disclosure statement to the Clerk for gifts received and accepted on an annual basis. Integrity Commissioner, Closed Meeting Investigator and OmbudsmanAird & Berlis LLP is our Integrity Commissioner and Closed Meeting investigator. They ensure Council follows the Code of Conduct, Procedural By-law, Municipal Conflict of Interest Act, and investigate concerns in regard to closed Council sessions. Aird & Berlis LLP is also our Ombudsman and will investigate concerns about Council conduct.
