By Law Enforcement

By-law enforcement is responsible for enforcing Municipal By-laws to ensure a safe, quiet and enjoyable community for all residents. You can report a possible by-law violation by completing and signing the By-law Complaint Form, which must be on file with the Municipal Administration before an investigation into a non-compliant issue will commence.

Any information received will remain confidential unless disclosure is required by law, in accordance with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection Act.

In the event a signed complaint form cannot be completed (ie. after hours) an email or letter will also be accepted as a signed/written complaint to bylaw@duttondunwich.on.ca or call 519-762-2204

Anonymous complaints will not be investigated unless they are an immediate health and safety risk.

Please be patient, enforcement is a process and can take time. The availability of our by-law officers varies throughout the week. Complaints will be prioritized and investigated as soon as it is practicable. If immediate assistance is required outside of our regular hours, please contact OPP at 1-888-310-1122 (non-emergencies only).
